About the Role


Key Responsibilities:


1. IT Management:

o Coordinate with venue management to assess and plan internet connectivity requirements.

o Procure necessary network equipment and ensure its proper setup.

o Configure routers, switches, and other networking devices to establish a reliable network.

o Test and troubleshoot the network to identify and resolve potential issues.

o Ensure that the internet connection is stable, secure, and capable of handling the expected load during the event.

o Coordinate with vendors or service providers for additional IT resources if needed.

o Provide on-site IT support throughout the duration of the festival.

o Assist vendors, exhibitors, and performers with setting up and troubleshooting their IT equipment.

o Monitor the network for performance issues and promptly address any disruptions.

o Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues for attendees and staff.

o Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and manage its distribution and collection.

o Collaborate with the event management team to ensure a smooth and trouble-free technology experience.

o Develop and implement contingency plans for IT-related emergencies, such as network outages or equipment failures.

o Act quickly to resolve critical IT issues that may impact the event.

o Maintain detailed records of all IT-related activities, including configurations, equipment inventory, and incident reports.

o Provide post-event reports highlighting the performance and areas for improvement in the IT setup.


2. Radio Communications:

o Manage and operate radio communication systems, including handheld radios, base stations, and communication networks.

o Ensure effective and clear communication channels are established and maintained throughout events.

o Train staff on proper use of radio equipment and communication protocols.

o Conduct regular maintenance and testing of radio equipment to ensure optimal performance.


3. Event Support:

o Collaborate with event planners and organizers to understand technical requirements and ensure all IT and radio needs are met.

o Set up and configure technology and communication systems according to event specifications.

o Provide on-site support during events, including troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that arise.

o Ensure all technology and communication systems are dismantled and returned to standard after events.


4. Documentation and Reporting:

o Maintain detailed records of IT and radio equipment inventories, configurations, and maintenance schedules.

o Prepare reports on system performance, incident resolution, and technology needs for future events.

o Develop and update documentation for IT and radio procedures and protocols.
