About the Role


  • Primary Venue management Liaison for all Housekeeping suppliers and Waste Management vendors active in the zones
  • Manages a dedicated Cleaning & Waste Management team for the planning, operations, and delivery phase of the event (including installation and de-rig)
  • Design, deploy staff and schedule according to each festival zone's cleaning requirement and setups inclusive pavilions, F&B and retail areas, within activations, toilet and ablution units, all the BOH units including production offices, green rooms, government official rooms etc.
  • Works closely with the housekeeping and waste management agencies to scope required staffing within the zone and supervises schedules, briefings, and deployment with their staffing managers and supervisors
  • Produces a daily cleaning and waste management report and attends briefing meetings
  • Understands the different structural, technological and activation setups and its cleaning requirements within the zones
  • Ensures appropriate machinery and cleaning solutions are utilized in specific areas in agreement with vendor and production managers (e.g. beach cleaners, pavement and sport surfaces)
  • Works closely with the operations and zone managers to ensure the smooth integration of cleaning and waste management schedule into front of house and back of house areas
  • Can work according to project deadlines related to the event
  • Will be able to create a safe waste management and housekeeping management plan in cooperation with the Health & Safety Supplier. Ensures that schedules are managed according to agreed health and safety protocols inclusive a Sanitization and Disinfection Plan and appropriate spill kits
  • Guarantees all scope related staff and vendors documentation are submitted to accreditation and all required permits and licenses are in place and up to date
