Role Definition

The PR & Communications Specialist plays a key role in the success of our Wellness Festival by developing and executing strategic PR and communication plans. This role involves working with in- house teams and agencies to ensure the effective communication of event key messages across multiple channels. The position requires a creative and dynamic individual with a deep understanding of PR, content creation, and media relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive PR strategy for the Wellness Festival, ensuring alignment with the overall brand vision.
  • Oversee all PR activities, including the creation of key messages, editorial content, crisis communications, interviews/spokespersons, and media monitoring.
  • Work with the PR agency to manage relationships with media outlets, coordinating all press activities such as press releases, briefings, and media kits.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with influencers and other strategic partners.
  • Support on pre-festival side events and ensure a post-festival communications plan is in place for legacy.
  • Liaise with internal teams to create compelling campaign content.
  • Ensure all PR activities are aligned with the event’s mission and vision.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Oversee event PR budgets and ensure a cost-effective approach.
  • Report on PR campaign performance, providing data-driven insights, and continuously refining
  • strategies to achieve optimal results.
  • Ensure clear success metrics and KPIs are in place for all PR campaigns.

Required Experience and Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in PR/Communications management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successful PR campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of current PR trends and best practices.
  • Experience in managing budgets and financial aspects of PR.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
